A

when the learning of one skill helps the learning of another
- usually occurs when 2 skills are similar so movements of the skill will help each other
- basketball and netball pass

A

when the learning of one skill hinders the learning of another
- badminton and tennis;action of tennis serve uses arm, the wrist action of the badminton serve is different

A

when the learning of one skill has no impact on on the learning of another
- swimming arm action and the foot placement in rock climbing having nothing in common, therefore no transfer between them

- right foot footballer encouraged to use their left foot when required so left foot becomes equal to the right
