- The Spratly islands are remote islands claimed by china, Vietnam, Malaysia and philippines
- Cabbage strategy is used by China where they surround islands with boats to protect territory
- As more Military bases set up on the fake islands they can supply more
- they take part in UN peacekeeping missions but is major actions are focused on supporting its economy

- Ukraine held protest in 2014 which wanted the topple the current president.
- Rebels carved out two weak peoples republics where death penalty and conversion camps were restores
- it has killed more than 13,000 and displaced millions
- Ukraine has bought weapons and boosted its economic development
- Russia is doing this to escalate distracting the public from domestic problems and boost Putins popularity
