Stalls Flashcards
What does this maneuver consist on?
Loss of aerodynamic lift
What do we do to obtain this effect?
Decrease our speed by increasing our angle of attack
In what does this increased angle of attack result?
Separation of airflow over the wing, causing and abrupt loss of lift
What’s the objective of this maneuver?
Demonstrate the need for and importance of maintaining our speed and to install confidence in showing the ease of the required recovery procedure
what’s the first task we need to learn?
Distinguish between being close to stall and being in a fully developed stall
What’s the first scenario?
Training procedure required to pass flight tests within the course.
What do we have to avoid in this first scenario?
To enter into a developed stall, and recover at the sounding of the audible stall warning, or with the buddeting that occurs as the first aerodynamic indication of impending boundary layer separation.
