17
Q

5

A

Maximum speed: 129 KIAS.

18
Q

NOTE

A

NOTE: We will have no indication that the gear is down and locked at this point. This is due to the extension being by gravity. To confirm that the gear is locked, we can perform a series of turns/slips with more force than normal.

19
Q

GEAR UP LANDING:

A
20
Q

What should we do once we realize we have an emegency?

A

communicate with ATC

so that they can prepare the runway and fire service for the landing.

21
Q

If the problem is due to only one of the legs not being down or locked

A

the decision to land with two, one or none is up to the pilot in command

22
Q

Before landing

A

you should have selected the runway and unlatched the doors.

23
Q

An approach should be made with

A

power at a normal airspeed with the flaps up

24
Q

Why are the flaps left UP¿

A

to reduce wing and flap damage.

25
Q

Upon touchdown:

A
  • Close the throttles
  • Turn OFF the master and ignition switches
  • move the fuel selector valve controls to OFF
  • Contact to the surface should be made at a minimum airspeed
26
Q

Once we have landed,

A

we will evacuate the aircraft
