Go Around Flashcards

1
Q

What do we do on hearing GO AROUND during a visual approach?

A

Advance throttles smoothly to 38’’ MAP
Nose UP (around 8º)
Maintain 90 KIAS
Select Flap 25º (if we wanted to land with full flap) maintain 90KIAS
With positive climb (on the altimiter and VSI) call “POSITIVE CLIMB”
Retract landing gear, when up and locked, climb at 90 KIAS
At 200 ft AGL, retract flap (FLAP 10º) accelerate to 100 KIAS
At 400 ft AGL, retract flap calling (FLAP UP) accelerate to 110 KIAS
Perform first power reduction to 31.5’’ MAP and 2450 RPM
At 500 ft AGL turn to crosswind
Once on downwind or our workload is acceptable, we will read the “AFTER TAKE OFF CHECKLIST”
