The mental action or process of acquiring knowledge and understanding relating to society or its organisation through thought, experience and the senses

What is theory of mind?
The ability to attribute, to others, mental states (knowledge, intentions, emotions) to explain, predict and justify behaviour
Theory of mind helps us to navigate our personal world through?
Explanations and predictions of our behaviour and that of others which can then guide our social actions.
What does our theory of mind allow us to predict?
What happened in the past to cause mental states - being attuned to other people’s minds broadens our consciousness of what is going on
