What is BMI?
BMI is widely used to assess the extent to which individuals are underweight or overweight.
The formula is:
BMI = WEIGHT (KG) / HEIGHT (M2)
What are the flaws of the BMI system?
BMI does not completely distinguish between Muscle and Body fat.
It is also not adjusted between population groups.
Is being underweight a good thing?
