A
  • Partial/Complete reversal of respiratory depression caused by narcotic/opiates
  • Coma of unknown origin
  • R/O narcotic involvement in polypharmacy overdose prior to RSI

Naloxone Dose

A

Adult:
0.4-2mg slow IV/IO q2-3m, 2mg IN (1mg/nare), 2mg IM - until respiratory status improves
Pedi:
0.1mg/kg IM, IV, IO, IN - max 2mg/dose
