What are the signs of hearing impairment
- Disrupted and or muffled sounds
- No reaction to loud sounds
- Uses increased volume when talking or speaks out of turn
When completing an audiology screening what are the normal hearing levels
0-20 decibels
When would a referral to the audiologist be warranted
When a hearing abnormality is present
1. Every patient with the complaint of hearing loss should have one
2. New onset of hearing loss needs a referral
