*internal auditory canal and gradually cerebellpontine angle
*MC intracranial tumor
*benign

What can the acoustic neuroma compress
A
From the cerebellopontine angle it can compress the pons and hydrocephalus

- Intracranial max lesion

What are the signs of acoustic neuroma
A
- Vertgio, unilateral sensorineural hearing loss
- Weakness of face, ear, continuous imbalance e
- Difficulty understating speech

How is the diagnosis made?
A
MRI (maybe CT)

What is the treatment of acoustic neuroma
A
- Observation
- Microsurgical excision
- Stereotactical radiotherapy

What is the prognosis of acoustic neuroma
A
- Does not metastasize
- Hearing loss will not return
