- Eye pain
- Photophobia
- Tearing
- Large white infiltrated areas surrounding a corneal epithelial defect
- Purulent and / or watery discharge

A
Emergent referral for ophthalamolgy consulatation

How to minimize risk of a corneal ulcer?
A
- Ocular hygiene
- avoid extended-wear contacts
- Symptomatic
- Remove lenses ASAP

What are some consequences if there is delayed of ineffective treatment of a corneal ulcer?
A
- Keratitis
- Corneal scarring
- Intraocular infection
- Potential blinding los of eye
