AE: cognitive dysfunction, weight loss, kidney stones
topiramate
multiple MOA
CYP inhibitor
preg cat D leading to spina bifida
most teratogenic effects
AE: hepatic failure, pancreatitis, teratogenic, SJS/TEN, aplastic anemia
valproic acid
benzodiazapam reserved for 2nd or 3rd line status epilepticus treatment
highly abused and tolerance develops w/in 3-4 months
clonazepam
also benzodiazepine that come IV, IM, rectal and good for status epilepticus
lorazepam, diazepam, midazolam
