Americans 1992 with Disabilities Act (ADA) does what?
General
Provides Federal Civil Rights protection to individuals with disabilities. Guarantees equal opportunity for individuals with
disabilities in reference to public accommodations, employment, transportation, state and local government
services, and telecommunications
ADA pertains to employers with X employees?
Law applies to employers with fifteen (15) or more employees
Per ADA, can employer require a medical exam before job offer?
Employer CANNOT require a medical exam.
Per ADA, can employer do a drug test?
Yes, at any time. Drug tests are not medical exams.
Per ADA what must employer provide?
Employers must provide reasonable accommodations.
i.e.: access, toilet facilities etc.

Who enforces ADA?
- The ADA requirements are enforceable only through the U.S. Dept. of Justice.
