Inexperienced members should be supervised closely, all crew members assume responsibility for the new crew member. What is considered a less experienced FF?
1: Probationary FF
2: Less than 2 years experience in total firefighting (but 2 years still may not qualify someone as experienced
It is the responsibility of the company officer to determine experience levels, how can they do this?
1: Interview (time on, prior experience, previous assignments)
2: Evaluate (drill, call previous captains)
3: Training (frequent training on areas needed)
4: Follow Up (Evaluate at each incident, talk to the people working with them)
Who should be supervising inexperienced FFs?

Direct supervision is needed the moment an inexperienced FF enter a hazard area, what does this include?
