Who is responsible for making sure that the reserve is always in a ready state?
The captain (BC keep white board of units up to date)
What should be done before you take a reserve apparatus?
Captain where it is housed notified and a complete apparatus check. If discrepancies notify housing captain
What should be done when returning a reserve?
Meet with housing captain to ensure ready state. Housing captain will have someone perform truck check.
What must happen before a reserve can be given to a different company?
It must always return to the housing station for check
What must happen for a reserve to be used for public events?
1: Go through BC
2: Kept in city limits
3: Must stay available to be put in use

Not longer than 84 hours in a 96 hour span without 12 consecutive hours rest off
When is a members callback hours charged?
When they get 4 or more hours. Any less and it doesn’t go against your bank
What must you need to leave before your relief shows up?
Supervisor permission
What are the sick hour overtime rules?
If you use greater than 4 hours sick you are not eligible for callback the next morning
When does OT accrual reset?
July 1
When is the latest you can sign up or take off callback list?
5am
OT should be staffed how?
Rank for rank, if exhausted BC approval
When can you decline OT without penalty?
After 7am
How are standby crews paid?
1: 2 1/2 hours straight time if not called out
2: If called out then time and a half for a min of 1 hour on regular work day
3: Time and a half 2 hour min if a day off
If you have a storm stand by crew who do you contact to let them know you are willing to work?

Send an email to BC with Incident number, unit, employee numbers
What is the latest you can submit vacation or sick?

How must you change a vacation request?
Must first cancel your request and put in a new one (you may lose you ability) No changes after 5am
