-very small and cover a single vineyard lika Romanée in Burgundy

85 percent more or less due to the local laws
In what two GI categories are European divided into?
-PDO - Protected Designation of Origin
-PGI - Protected Geographical Indication
What does PDO (Protected Designation of Origin) broadly indicate?
smaller areas and more tightly defined regulations
What does PGI (Protected Geographical indications) broadly indicate?
larger areas and fewer regulations
