- Extends from fundus superior to cervix inferior
- Near its upper end, body receives uterine tubes on both sides, fusion point between uterine tube and uterus body is called uterine cornu

A
- Uterus lower constricted part
- Its cavity (cervical canal) is spindle shaped which opens into uterine cavity by internal os and into vagina by external os
- Its lower 1/2 projects into upper part of vagina anterior wall dividing cervix it into vaginal and supravaginal parts
- Vaginal grooves surrounding vaginal part are called vaginal fornices
