What was Jamie Escalnete’s early life like
Jaime Escalante was born in 1930 in La Paz, Bolivia. His parents were both teachers and of Aymara heritage. When Escalante grew up, él taught math and physics in Bolivia for many years and then emigrated to the United States.
What was Gardeild Hgh school in LA like in 1974
Escalante began teaching math at Garfield High School in Los Angeles in 1974. The school was known for its violence, and many of the students lived in poverty.When él began teaching math there, él realized his students lacked the knowledge they needed to succeed at math in school. Escalante began to teach them what ellos needed to know.
Tell me about how Escalnete class did in calculus
In 1978, Escalante began teaching calculus, a very difficult subject, to his students at Garfield High. Few people thought his students could succeed. Four years later, 18 students in Escalante’s class passed the AP Calculus test.

Escalante became famous. Other teachers came to Escalante and wanted to learn from him. An interesting book, un libro interesante, was written about him, and in 1988, a movie was made about his life and his work. The movie is called “Stand and Deliver,” and it is a good one to watch. One of the great mysteries about Tiahuanaco is why its inhabitants suddenly disappeared. The people of Tiahuanaco had no written language, so they did not leave a record of what happened to them.
What was so impressive about the Tiahuanco
However, they did leave behind ruins of impressive buildings and art that demonstrate their advanced civilization. To make buildings, they moved rocks weighing many tons, and they used engineering techniques that were ahead of their time.
