AED is to be taken to the patient by EMT-I’s on all EMS calls, except those dispatched as trauma or obstetric calls.

The LP 1000 does not delete patient data after you transfer the data to a PC. The defibrillator deletes previous patient data only when it is connected to a new patient or a simulator.

The LP 1000 will automatically run a self-test every 24 hours and each time the LP 1000 is turned on.

The LP 1000 shall be checked every morning and after each use to ensure there are a minimum of two sets of defibrillator electrodes, both adult and child sizes, within their expiration date, and a razor.
