MAINTENANCE

After each use:

A. Check for worn or damaged parts.

B. Check the alien screws on the quick-change retainer for tightness.

C. Disconnect the gun from air supply. Put ___ drops of Air Motor Lubrication Oil #___ down the air in-take hole. Reconnect gun to air supply and operate unit for ___ to ___ seconds. This will lubricate the piston and valve. Do not use heavy oil for lubrication, as it will cause the piston and valve to stick and result in poor performance.

CHISEL

Used to break spot welds, split nuts, shear hinges and locks. Also used to remove car roofs.

EXTENSION CHISEL

Designed for hard to reach places such as door hinges with a deep inset.

PUNCH

Used to punch-out wedged or swelled rivets and trunk lid locks. Also used to punch holes to locate inner locks more readily.

C. Station a safety member at the air bottle out of the working area to shut down in the event of-an emergency.

D. Never connect the gun to any compressed air or gas supply other than that of the standard L.A.F.D. breathing, air bottle.

E. Never use the chisels to break or cut glass.
