Stator and Isophase Cooling Flashcards
What system cools the Stator Cooling Heat Exchangers?
Heat is removed from the Stator Cooling Water by two series heat exchangers, which are cooled by Turbine Cooling Water. A Temperature Control Valve adjusts the Stator Cooling Flow through or around the heat exchanger depending on system temperature.
What is the makeup water source for the Stator Cooling system?
Demineralized Water (DW)
What is the purpose of the Stator and Isophase Cooling system?
Stator and Isophase Bus Cooling system removes heat from the generator stator, connection ring, terminal bushings and the isophase buses.
What is the maximum amperage for the isophase bus if no fans are running?
The isophase buses are designed to operate without forced cooling up to 23,000 amps.
What does the auto start button (CEN-HS-29B) do?
starts the standby pump. both pumps continue to run until manually secured
Describe a loss of 125 vdc to the Stator Cooling control panel
all stator cooling water trips for the main turbine are disabled
