Plant Monitoring System (RJ) Flashcards
What is the power supply of the Plant Monitoring System?
PMS UPS (NQ)
* 120 Vac Computer Distribution Panel (NQN-D01)
* DC source:
o** NKN-M45** through 120 Vac static inverter to static transfer switch.
* AC Sources (480/120V XFMR VR):
o Normal - NHN-M08
o Backup - NHN-M72 (B train – SIAS load shed)
o Manually transfer the 480V source to VR
- Static transfer switch normally aligned to DC source
- Auto transfers to AC source
How is decay accounted for in the Incore instruments?
- PMS compensates incores for rhodium decay
- PMS compensates for background detector (cancels noise)
How does the plant respond to a loss of the Plant Computer?
PC Failure:
* PC COLSS lost
* CEAs cannot move in AS or MS.
o Can be moved in MG or MI.
* Cannot determine alarms on PC (obtain at RK cabinets)
How does the plant respond to a loss of the Plant Computer and the Core Monitoring Computer?

* CEAs could not be moved in MS or AS.
o Able to be moved in Manual Group or Manual Individual.
* Cannot determine alarms on PC (obtain at RK cabinets)
* Loss of COLSS and PDIL Alarm Circuit.
