Who should proofread?

PUT ON
Name, address, contact info, objective, education and work experience, HS, accomplishments at each job (using verbs to show what you did), license number and state, or anticipated license date and state, specialty education

DOs
Keep it short 1-2 pages, only key info, white or off white printer paper, find director or HR, most recent education and experience first, list dates on experience AND education, relevant, clinical rotation and dates, follow directions for references (3 is typical), check with your reference, don’t show your picture
COVER LETTER
1 page, 1-2 paragraphs, present why you’re the best fit, sell yourself to that specific job, address to certain person
INTERVIEW
They’re looking at verbal and nonverbal skills, expressions, posture (don’t swivel in chair), EYE contact, appearance (dress the part), dress appropriately, have questions ready (ask about travel, patient population or benefits, NOT salary), don’t degrade previous employer

lying or exaggeration, bad appearance, bad punctuality, not having “hw” done, talking too little or too much, appearing desperate, having cell phone on, having bad breath, not bringing notepad/resume
