23
Q

Proteus e swarming effect kothay hoy ?

A

Blood agar

24
Q

what is bacteremia and septicemia ?

A

🦠 Bacteremia vs. Septicemia

Bacteremia = Bacteria in blood (Transient/Benign/Potentially Harmful)
Causes: Dental procedures, UTI, IV catheters, pneumonia
May resolve or lead to sepsis

Septicemia (Sepsis) = Bacteremia + Systemic Inflammatory Response (SIRS)
Sepsis = Infection + Organ Dysfunction (SOFA Score ↑)
Severe Sepsis → Septic Shock (Hypotension despite fluids, requiring vasopressors)

🚨 Tx: IV Broad-Spectrum ABX (Vancomycin + Piperacillin-Tazobactam), Fluids, Vasopressors
