exp. without peer review limitations of the study could be put into public practice, the study could lack validity and accuracy and so the finidings might not be beneficial/negative implications to the public

exp. improvements can be made to the research based on what the peer review found. eg display the data differently or control this variable better. therefore the findings will be more valid and reliable. and learn better ways to conduct research in the future.
limitations about peer review:
If peer reviewers are particularly critical of a study because they have been influenced by personal feelings or opinions, then they are not being
objective
this is called personal bias
it might not be in their interests to be objecitve
good studies might not be published and so society misses out
