Infiltration of the squamous epithelium by neoplastic (but not necessarily malignant) glandular cells

How does vulvar Paget’s disease differ from mammary Paget’s disease?
A
- Mammary - almost always associated with underlying breast carcinoma

Vulvar - associated with benign neoplasms arising from sweat glands and hair follicles
- some cases represent an underlying malignancy from the bladder, gynecologic tract, or colon
