What is outercourse? What is its efficacy?

A
  • Sexual activity without vaginal intercourse.
    • This keeps sperm out of the vagina.
  • Nearly 100% effective.
  • Pregnancy might be possible if semen spilled onto vulva and then enters vagina.
  • Decreases risk of sexually transmitted diseases, but those transmitted by skin-to-skin contact can still be transmitted (i.e. HPV, HSV).
