Broad ligament that extends and becomes a peritoneal covering of the ovaries.

- Anterior to the ovary
- ovarian vessels and nerves enter here from the peritoneal suspensory ligament via the mesovarium
- The ovarian ligament anchors the ovary medially to the uterus
