Q

What is a gene mutation base substitution

A

A change to the sequence or quantity of bases in the dna molecule

It results in a different amino acid sequence being coded for so different primary structure which leads to a different secondary structure and then different 3D shape tertiary specific shape

Q

What is base deletion

A

When a base is deleted causes the codon and bases shift one position to the left and the codon is read in a different order which lead to a different primary sequence which then leads to a different secondary structure a different tertiary structure

Q

What is nondisjection

A

In. Meiosis occurs spontaneously when the chromosomes fail to seperate into different cell which lead to gametes having either extra or fewer chromosomes at fertilisatio
