You are on departure and experience an AMU failure, what are your actions?

A
  1. Check safe height, heading and speed
  2. Turn on AP once AMU failure identified on RMFD
  3. Check MIC-TEL, Correct radio freq, volume set correctly, correct transmit button, check squelch
  4. Radio check w/ CEN
  5. If no comms established get out the CORRECT checklist and complete

If no comms still:

  1. Total comms fail likely, complete EMRG as such

You are mid W/O and notice a feint smoke entering the cockpit, what are your actions?

A
  1. Pull EO and continue the wing over setting a safe height, heading and speed
  2. Complete the rest of the boldface/checks if smoke source can be identified
  3. Monitor for symptoms of hypoxia
  4. If symptoms of hypoxia:
    - Complete hypoxia BF
  5. Eject if symptoms continue after hypoxia bold face

You are midwingover and are drawn to the RMFD which has the fire caption lit, what are your actions?

A
  1. Establish the glide
    - Zoom (10ºNU, 30ºAoB on PFD)
    - Turn to nearest suitable aerodrome (TACAN pointer)
    - Establish glide (140KIAS)
  2. Once in the turn, complete boldface
  3. Look for for signs of smoke/fire (Over shoulder, mirrors, engine cowling, open ENG page on RMFD)
  4. Complete BF as required
  5. Stable glide, assess if in the cone (current alt -3k x 2, Tacan must be less than this)
  6. MAYDAY (x3) CHLE 745 (x3), engine fire intentions are too glide back via HK
  7. Gliding Cx/Rejoin Cx (time permitting)
  8. Visually sight HK and note required track and alt for arrival
  9. Switch to TWR at 5NM of 5,000ft which ever is first

  1. Maintain IAS below 180KTS
  2. Set RMFD to HYD page
  3. Confirm safe height heading, speed and PWR before confirming AP is on
  4. Get out the checklist and follow along
  5. Inform DI of your situation, actions and plan for RTB
  6. PAN PAN (x3), CHLE 745 (x3), experiencing flap issues, intentions are too RTB via 5 Mile finals.

A

SERVO = “Loss of power to ailerons, power brakes or spoilers”

  1. Assess the aircraft for any abnormal sensations in pitch, roll or yaw.
  2. If abnormal forces are experienced, complete the ACS Malfunction BF (TRIM/AIL PWR - OFF then land when practical)
  3. Confirm safe height, heading and speed
  4. Confirm no additional boldface/checks are needed
  5. R/T w/ DI on situation, actions and plan for RTB
  6. PAN PAN (x3), CHLE 745 (x3), experiencing hydraulic issues, intentions are to RTB via 5 Mile finals.

  5. Complete checklist items for OXY issue
  6. R/T with DI to inform them of situations, actions and plan
  7. PAN PAN (x3), CHLE 745 (x3), experiencing oxygen issues, intentions are to RTB via I+P
