  1. Seat harness - Secured and locked
  2. PSP - Connected
  3. Helmet - Visor down, chin strap secure
  4. Seat Pin - Removed
  5. Location - Suitable
  6. Height - Ideally 2000ft AGL
  7. Airspeed - 150 - 250KIAS
  8. Trim - 1/3 aileron trim
  9. Attitude - Wings level, climbing

What are the correct actions in the event of an AMU channel failure?

A
  1. Maintain safe height, heading and speed (use the autopilot if in the area)
  2. AMU 1/2 failure will be seen in the R MFD
  3. If in the circuit establish on downwind and base into upwind
  4. Once at upwind get out checklist and follow the checklist

A
  1. Aviate: Maintain safe height, heading and speed
  2. Complete boldface actions
  3. Look for any source of fumes from within the cockpit (If seen turn that system off)
  4. Complete boldface actions if source not seen or continues
  5. Monitor for symptoms of hypoxia
  6. If no symptoms continue checklist items and consider if ejection is the best COA

  1. Check safe height, heading, speed and PWR
  2. Maintain IAS below 180KIAS
  3. Contact the DI for assistance
  4. Complete checklist w/ DI
  5. If three greens cannot be seen, complete a planned ejection

  1. Maintain safe height, heading and speed below 180KIAS
  2. Use RMFD HYD page
  3. Go around from base/finals
  4. Able to use AP on upwind and downwind
  5. Once consulted with DI make request 3 mile finals: “Requesting reposition for 3 mile finals”

If flaps up or in T/O position, use flapless landing speeds

A

ENG Failure confirmed - NG below 80%
- If on RWY 27, turn R ASAP
Zoom - Maintain T/O attitude
Trim - Pitch for nose up
MAYDAY - If time permits
Eject - Confirm the correct posture

A

AVIATE

  1. Check MIC-TEL, Correct radio freq, volume set correctly, correct transmit button, check squelch
  2. Radio check w/ TWR, Check RMFD ‘Freq’ Page for system status
  3. If no comms established, squawk 7600, go around onto the dead side, continue to transmit in the blind
  4. On base/finals, look for green light on the old TWR

If green light not seen:

  1. Go around from base/finals, wait for green light, rock wings on dead side

  3. Fire unconfirmed (no smoke, oil temp is stable, ITT is stable)
  4. “PAN PAN (x3), Charlie XXX (x3) , engine fire, intending to land ASAP, please inform of any external signs of fire”
  5. Maintain safe aviate and navigate
  6. EMRG Egress once landed

  2. Attempt to find the source of the smoke and fumes if within the cockpit

  4. “PAN PAN (x3), Charlie XXX (x3), experienced smoke and fumes, intending to land on next approach”
  5. Monitor for symptoms of hypoxia
  6. Land ASAP

  2. FUEL/HYD Cutoff - PULL
