  2. Lookout for traffic
    • Straight in approaches (extended centreline, below
    • Initials (opposite, above)
    • Glide circuits (above)

A

Simultaneously:
1. Set base turn attitude (Roll 30º AoB horizon touches top of mirror)
2. Set 20-30% TQ (based on wind)
- Lookout has been completed so make sure attitude is set correctly
3. Flaps to LDG
4. Confirm PWR

A
  1. Imagine a line parallel with the horizon from the aim point, this line should intersect the top of the AoA indexer
  2. Monitor IAS closely to capture 120KIAS

A

A

Increase/reduce power approx 5% and maintain attitude

  1. Reduce power 5-10% IOT capture 110KIAS
  2. Confirm IAS
  3. Complete finals checks

Commence finals work cycle:

Aim point: On top of AoA indexers
Aspect: Visual 3º (3 red, 1 white PAPI)
Airspeed: 110KIAS
