Cardiogenic shock
CHF
Dobutamine Contraindications?
Hypersensitivity
Tachydysrhythmia
Bradycardia
Hypovolemia
Dobutamine Side Effects/Precautions?
- Headache
- Syncope
- Nausea/Vomiting
- Tachycardia
- Hypertension
- Increased myocardial oxygen demand
- Dysrhythmia
Dobutamine Adult Dose?
2-20 mcg/kg/min IV/IO drip
Dobutamine Pediatric Dose?
2-20 mcg/kg/min IV/IO drip
Dobutamine Onset of Action?
2 minutes
Dobutamine Duration of Action?
Variable. 1 -2 minutes after infusion stops
Dobutamine Max Dose Adult/Pediatric?
Adult & Peds: not to exceed 40 mcg/kg/min
