Define
LEOFF I Personnel
There are two types of LEOFF I personnel:
1. “LEOFF members with prior rights” who were employed under the old 41.18 pension act and were actively employed on March 1, 1970 when LEOFF I came into existence
- “LEOFF members with no prior rights” who were hired prior to October
1977
Define
LEOFF II Personnel
Individuals hired on or after October 1, 1977.
TFD personnel shall report the following to his/her supervisor before the end of his/her duty period, but no later than twenty-four (24) hours after the incident
a. An occupational accident that causes injury or illness
b. An illness apparently caused by an occupational exposure
If symptoms are not apparent at the time of the incident, the employee shall
report the symptoms within forty-eight (48) hours after becoming aware of the injury or illness.
The Financial Assistant for Payroll shall maintain records of all reported on-
the-job injuries and illnesses, including
a. Every occupational death
b. Each injury that involves one of the following–
i. Unconsciousness
ii. Inability to perform all phases of regular duty-related assignment
iii. Inability to work full-time on duty
iv. Transitional assignment
v. Medical treatment beyond first-aid
The TFD Safety Office shall post an annual summary of occupational injuries and illnesses on the?
safety bulletin board at each TFD station and facility.
The summary shall be completed and posted no later than?
February 1 each calendar year and shall remain in place until March 1 of the same calendar year.
