Who is responsible for maintaining the accountability system for personnel at an incident scene as directed by the Incident Commander.

Accountability board
Board used to display ID tags and track the following information:partner(s),assignment, radio designation, and location.

2” x 3” card with official department logo that displays personnel photo, name, rank/position, EVAP number and driver’s license number. The ID tag attaches to the firefighter’s turnout coat with a trigger snap.

Temporary ID tags
A 2 x 3 inch blank piece of acrylic with a trigger snap on which a name can be written in either pencil or black marker to identify a member of the team; used until a permanent ID tag can be issued.

i. Multiple alarm incidents or other large-scale emergency incidents.
ii. Incidents with mutual aid fire departments, resource zone task force/striketeams, outside agencies, and off-duty responders.

a. The exception to this is when the first arriving Company Officer identifies a different location for entry into the hot zone and identifies which apparatus shall be the temporary collection point
for ID tags.
The Incident Commander may order a PAR for what reasons
a. Any report of a lost or trapped firefighter.
b. Change in strategy.
c. Following an order to abandon or withdraw from a building.
d. Unforeseen catastrophic event (e.g., building collapse, explosion,
backdraft, etc.).
e. To account for all personnel before standing down the RIC.
f. Any time the Incident Commander feels it is necessary.
The PAR shall include
a. Who: Radio designator and company member names.
b. What: Current assignment or task.
c. Where: Location.
