Contraindications
* Significant cardiovascular disease
* History of priapism- a disorder in which the penis maintains a prolonged, rigid erection in the absence of appropriate stimulation

  • Caution – other antihypertensives & heart medications
  • Interactions
  • Nitroglycerin
  • Cannot be taken together. If taking or on prn NTG, it cannot be used within 24
    hours (or more depending on liver/kidney function)
  • Grapefruit juice – increases action of sildenafil and S/E and A/
