What causes TOS?

A
  • Following neck trauma in patients with anatomical predispositions
  • Presence of cervical rib

How does TOS present?

A
  • Painless muscle wasting of hand muscles: issues with grasping objects
  • Numbness and tingling
  • Cold hands, blanching or swelling may be present if autonomic nerves affected

A
  • Chest and C-spine X-rays
  • CT/MRI may be useful
