Wrist should be placed in the ‘beer glass position’ and casted
What is the management if there is high suspicion of a scaphoid fracture?
Commence treatment and treatment and repeat X-rays/MRI after 10 days.
What is the main complication of a scaphoid fracture?
Avascular necrosis, which would present with pain and stiffness at the wrist.
What is the management of a scaphoid fracture in the proximal pole?
Surgical fixation
