PA 9 Flashcards
Pretend you are asked to speak to a group of high school students and explain the PA profession.
Being a PA means you get to be a medical professional who diagnoses illnesses, treats patients, and prescribes medication. You work closely with doctors, but you also have your own patients. It’s a fast-paced job full of variety, and it’s perfect for people who love science and truly want to help others.
What makes you an ideal applicant for PA school?
I bring a unique blend of life experience, academic commitment, and a genuine desire to serve. Working in law enforcement taught me calm under pressure. My EMT work and Biochemistry research showed me how to connect science with real patient needs. I’m ready to take on the intense training and become a reliable, compassionate provider.
What do you see as the future of PAs? How do you see the role of PAs changing in the future?
I see PAs growing even more essential in healthcare, especially as the physician shortage continues. PAs will likely have expanded autonomy, work in more diverse specialties, and continue using technology like telemedicine to reach patients in underserved areas. Ultimately, I think PAs will become leaders in shaping more patient-focused, accessible care for everyone.
