lal practice, and compassion, As a physician assistant, I plan to focus on patient care using the best available evidence. I will keep up with the latest research and guidelines to make informed decisions. I will work closely with doctors and other healthcare professionals to give complete care to each patient. I will continue learning and updating my skills as medicine evolves. I believe in clear communication, ethical practice, and compassion. My goal is to build trust with my patients and be a valuable part of the healthcare team.
- If you were interviewing a potential PA student, what would you look for?
I’d watch for someone who takes initiative and genuinely cares about patient well-being. I’d also look for strong communication skills and the ability to handle stress. A background that shows teamwork and a willingness to learn from mistakes would stand out to me.
- If you were chosen to hire a PA, what qualities should they have?
A strong PA should be highly organized and detail-oriented, capable of juggling multiple tasks while ensuring nothing slips through the cracks. They must communicate clearly and effectively, both in writing and verbally, while maintaining discretion and professionalism. Reliability and trustworthiness are key, as is a proactive mindset that anticipates needs and swiftly addresses any challenges. In today’s dynamic work environment, a PA should also be tech-savvy, adaptable to change, and efficient in managing time, all while upholding a positive attitude that contributes to a seamless and productive workflow.
- Describe your volunteer experience.
I used to volunteer as a math tutor at my local library. One of my students was Diana, and we actually ended up dating. We’ve now been together for over 20 years, which makes that volunteer experience extra meaningful. I also volunteered by crewing for the Anthony Robbins Foundation, helping organize events and support attendees.
