Incidence
The number of people diagnosed with a disease in a particular population of people at a particular time
Prevalence
The number of people who have a particular condition, regardless of whether they were just diagnosed or whether they have been diagnosed at all
Why do we care about non-communicable diseases?
They kill more than communicable diseases
Tumour
The large scale growth of cells through cell division
Malignant
Where the tumour can move around
Benign
Where the tumour stays in the same place
Carcinogen
A substance capable of causing cancer in living tissue
