Shipowners liability of wages and medical care due to sickness or injury

A
  • Must Pay wager to Seafarer whilst onboard or put ashore up until they recover
  • Wages will be paid until recovery, Expiration of the SEA, or 16weeks have elapsed which ever is sooner.
  • Must pay for medical care, board and lodging. These costs must be met until recovery or until incapacity is declared permanent

  • Seafarer is terminated
