Indications for Mag Sulfate

A

Status Asthmaticus, bronchoconstriction w/impending resp failure, Eclampsia seizures, hypomagnesemia, dysrhythmias d/t digitalis toxicity, Torsades de pointes, V-fib/pulseless V-tach that is refractory d/t Amiodarone.

A

AV Block, Asystole, Cardiac Arrest, Abnormal EKG, Hypotension, Hyporeflexia, Vasodilation, flushing, sweating, Resp & CNS depression.

1-4GM of a 10% solution IV/IO SLOWLY over 3 mins.
