Hypovolemic shock, KVO, hypoperfusion.

A
Should not be used in pts with heart failure or renal failure, d/t potential for fluid overload.

Adverse reactions of LR
A
Rare in therapeutic dosages. Do not use if you know pt will be getting blood transfusion.

Dosage of LR
A
Hypovolemic Shock: titrate to effect
Hypoperfusion: 20ml/kg IV/IO over 15 mins.
Neonates: Fluid bolus: 10ml/kg IV over 5-10 mins, multiple bonuses may be adm if the pt remains hypovolemic.
