Distal insertion
The attachment of a muscle’s tendon to the area of bone farthest away from the center of your body
Biceps muscle
A muscle that can flex both the elbow and the shoulder
Stabilizing muscles
Muscles that support the body so that a movement can occur without your entire body getting knocked off balance
Prime mover
The main muscle that produces a movement
Brachialis
A muscle which helps the biceps flex the elbow
Agonist
A muscle that helps the prime mover perform a movement
