weight gain thru anabolic effects of insulin

Adverse Effects
A
mild GI upset (nausea/vomiting/diarrhoea)
hypoglycaemia (as works at low glucose)

A
caution with hepatic/renal disease
risk of hypoglycaemia

other hypoglycaemic agents
loop & thiazides diuretics can increase glucose so reduce action
