What is the pituitary known as?
Master gland
What is the pituitary connected at?
The base of the brain
What does the pituitary sit in?

Hypothalamus
What are the 2 portions of the pituitary?
Anterior (adenohypophysis) and posterior (neurohypophysis)
What is the hypothalamus?
A portion of the brain that leaves from the stalk out of the brain stem and into the pituitary
What is something that occurs in the pituitary that only happens in a few places

What is Cushing’s disease/canine hyperadrenalcorticism?
Too much activity from the cortex of the adrenal gland–too much cortisol
