ὁ της παιδος πατηρ πλουσιωτερος ἐστιν ἠ ὁ ἐμος
The girl’s father is wealthier than mine.
οἱ δουλοι, ὑπο του στρατιωτου διωκομενοι, προς τους ἀγρους προσεβησαν
The slaves, being chased by the soldier, went towards the fields
δια την νυκτα ἀναγκαζομεθα παυειν την μαχην

ταυτῃ τῃ γυναικι δυο θυγατερες εἰσιν

The women to whom I reported these things were sitting in the market-place
