On the second day that Moran made his journey and went as far as the forest area. In there he met that lion and after fighting with it for a long time, succeeded in killing it.

One year when it absolutely did not rain and the Masai cattle were in great difficulty, many cattle died and those which remained had no strength whatsoever, even when they were stabbed with and arrow, they did not give blood, just watery stuff. The state of the people and animals was very bad and this problem continued for over two years.
Mwaka mmoja ambapo mvua haikunyesha kabisa na ng’ombe wa Wamasai walikuwa katika shida kubwa, ng’ombe wengi walikufa na waliobaki hawakuwa na nguvu yo yote, hata walipochomwa mshale hawakutoa damu ila maji maji tu. Hali ya watu na wanyama ilikuwa mbaya sana, na shida hii iliendelea kwa muda wa miaka miwili na zaidi.
