Fertilisation.

Yes it can.
What is it called when pollen fertilises its own egg/stigma?
Self pollination.
What is called when the pollen grain travels to a different plant/stigma?
Cross pollination.
What happens when the nucleus of the pollen grain fertilises the egg?
The egg turns into a seed.
What is the sepal used for?
It protects the plants when the flower is about to bloom.
